Layers of the City: A closer, more intimate look at the city. Highlights of the ancient Roman art collections at the Capitoline Museums, the first museum in history. A great opportunity to look at the art that used to populate the ancient city from an engaging perspective and without crowds. A place I love and never stop studying. A brief stroll through ancient ruins (Portico of Octavia, Temple of Apollo, and the Theater of Marcellus) where the Eternal City reveals itself and becomes “readable” at a glance. The Jewish Ghetto, a fascinating neighborhood where we can also discuss Rome in the Fascist and WWII period.
It is possible to substitute the Capitoline Museums with Tiber Island (where everything began!) and a walk through Trastevere.
